UK National Insurance payments

I took early retirement at 60, have paid all contributions so eligible for state pension next year, however if I decided to take a part time job, would I have to pay NI payments again?

Unfortunately yes you do because NI funds other state benefits and not just your state pension.If you decide to take a part time job you would only pay NI if you earn over £672 a month, anything below this would not be subject to NI.
