USA QB Entries

Customer paid invoice via Venmo, but my venmo was linked to my personal bank account. I have a liability account From/To Personal in QB where I can reimburse business or reimburse home through this account. The problem is how do I receive payment for the open invoice?

DR Your liability account
CR Customer Receivable

That's what I did, but how do I receive payment on that invoice? Just crediting receivable doesn't really apply the payment.

You should be able to go into the subsidiary account of the customer to credit that customer's file.
