USA Reconciliation in Quicken

I have been frustrated with many aspects in quicken for years, but the primary problem I have had is in reconciling an account. I go in to start this months reconciliation and the beginning balance is off. Obviously I've done something to a previously reconciled item. The easiest fix I can think of would be to re-open last month's reconciliation (or the month before that) until I find the problem. However, I can't figure out how to do that. Any suggestions?
