Release of Rebate accrual from prior year

Hi

I have to release a rebates accrual from 2009 as this rebate is not longer probable

the rebate accrual is consider as not material
Originally it was booked agains Sales

Where do I release this to? ,Back to Sales? or can I release it to the overheads?

look up the original entry that was posted.
And reverse it.
