Revaluation Reserves

I maybe wasting time here but is it possible to revalue land and buildings without having a Revaluation Reserve account.

I was going through the financial statements of a company and the Land and buildings were revalued but it does not reflect on the balance sheet under Revaluation Reserve Account. Is this possible?
