Our only income is from my 401K on which we pay tax at the top tax rate. 85% of our social security is taxed at a high rate. Is there a way to reduce this tax?
The only way to reduce tax on your Social Security benefits is to lower the annual distributions from your 401(k) so that your income is beneath the threshold for taxing 85% of benefits.
