USA USA/Canada Tax Return How would I file in this scenario?

I am a US citizen but live in Canada as a permanent resident. If I accept a remote job in the US would I just file as if I still lived in the US using my last state and then not file in Canada since I wouldn't have earned income or is there a different process?
