India Accounting Entries for eCommerce business

Hello

When we do any purchase from an eCommerce website we do online payment for the product. My question is who gets the payment at the first place as the online website is not the actual seller of the product even the Invoice we get do not have any details of the website. how do the eCommerce website pass the entry of money received in their books when they are not the actual seller of the product still receive money online.

That'll be between the seller and the company acting as the intermediary. A bit like when you buy something using a credit card - it is not the credit card company selling the goods/services to you.
