USA Accounting for Returned Bank Fees

We are a small business who recently had two erroneous bank fees returned to us. How do I account for these increases in the bank account without overstating revenue?

When the fees were charged to you originally, - if you recorded the fees as an expense previously- now you will post the reverse of that entry using the date of the returned fees .
If you NEVER recorded those fees, then now record them and then post the reverse of that entry.
