Greetings everyone. I am relatively new to accounting practices and I need to start bookkeeping in quickbooks desktop. My problem is I have a partner in my business responsible for financing the business operations while I am responsible for keeping field operations of purchasing, sales and bookkeeping. We have been working like this for over 30 years when my father started this business with current partner. Now I need to start keeping the books in Quickbooks desktop and I don't have accurate initial investment record in the business. Is it possible to keeping the books with only my side of business operations while recording the reimbursements of purchases, expenses and Vendors payments etc?
