USA Contract Employee - W9, 1099

If we hire a contract employee - they are to fill out a W9 do they also do an I9? Also to file at end of year do we use the 1099-NEC? Please advise if there is anything else to consider with this.

I am use to doing 941, W4, W2. This is new for me.

You must complete Form I-9 each time you hire any person to perform labor or services in the United States in return for wages or other remuneration. Remuneration is anyt

From govt. Read what it says pertaining to independent contractors.
And yes use 1099-NEC.

For w9 question, yes and yes.
For 1099- nec online, no but there are services who will do that for about $4 each 1099. You can do it cheaper manually.
