I'm just wondering about something, and hope someone here can explain.
I'm new to Quicken (hell, new to keeping track of my finances, period), and I'm using Home & Business 2011, Canadian edition. It seems the majority of Canadian banks (mine is Royal Bank of Canada) don't allow direct access to transactions, and require you to download and import statement updates. Annoying, but what can you do. However, I set up my accounts on Mint.com and it updates my account statements directly through the internet.
So the question is,why can Mint do direct connect but Quicken has to use Web Connect? Isn't Mint owned by Intuit anyway? Did I miss something?
