UK Dividends

Hi,

My first financial year ended on 30/04/2018. My question is what will happen with the dividends already paid to me by that time. I am not sure if I need to declare the dividends together with my self assessment this year ( 2017/2018) or next year (2018/2019)!? Any answer is much appreciated.

When they're paid to you doesn't matter. The date they're declared as payable is the tax year in which they're taxable (note the subtle difference between the date dividends are declared and date declared payable).
