Hi,

I just graduated high school and I have an interview for a part-time job at an accounting firm.

Could someone tell me what it means to "do a company's books"?

What does doing a company's books entail and where can I find practice materials such as a workbook?

Thank you.

To "do a company's books" means to act as a bookkeeper and record receipts of cash, payments of cash, and post general journal entries. Then to create financial statements from the books (usually computerized) where this was recorded.
