UK Employee ownership trust - treatment of payments

Are Any posters involved in employee ownership trusts ?
Curious how the payments to sellers work from an accounting perspective and if the treatment is exactly the same as if dividends to shareholders?
And if so will it show in statement changes of equity , the way dividends do ?

Tried google and getting nowhere .
