USA How to get a job?

I have been trying to find any kind of accounting type job but every job posting states they want at least 1 year or more of experience in that sector. My only experience is what I learned in school. I have a BS in Business with a concentration in Accounting. How do I find an accounting type position?

Do you have your CPA yet? If not, I would take this time to study and get it. You'll be a much stronger candidate.

You apply to those jobs anyway. Reason: economy is doing well and in some markets there are very few qualified accounting-trained folks seeking jobs. Remember, the job posting only said they WANT that experience.

Do not look for any job. This is a big turn off to employers. Look for or at least apply to a job for that position.
