Social Security calims it has no record of my working in the 1980's, wherefore it claims I do NOT qualify for the 40 quarters needed to draw Soc. Security. they are wrong!
I've spent 1.5 yrs trying to get copies of my tax returns from 1982-1989, to no avail.
IRS claims it does not keep them that old.
But, a superviser told me rare cases (submitted by request of a Senator, for Ex) can be sent to a super-computer in Wash, D.C. for research on the maybe the old returns show up, but could not tell me how to go about it?
Does anybody know?
I'm communicating with a Tax Advocate lady in Jacksonville, FL who is trying to computer-search it for me, to no luck yet.
(*) I would be eternally grateful for some assistance.
This makes or breaks my valid Social Security claim.
Thanks for the help, Josh (Orlando), Oct. 30, 2010
