Hello everyone;

I ask myself a question which is perhaps obvious: in case of refusal of certification of the accounts of a subsidiary company by the auditor, is there necessarily refusal of certification of the consolidated accounts?
Spontaneously I will answer yes but impossible to be sure so far.
Thank you all in advance and have a good day.

What do you mean by "certification" ? or you mean the audit opinion?

Depends. If subsidiary is not material then may not impact consolidated accounts. If material they can perform audit procedures over the subsidiary without having to issue separate financial statements on that sub and get comfortable. But yes, if they have real concerns on sub and its large this will impact the opinion they can issue on the consolidated accounts,
