Just a word for those people who use other types of accounting software, Sage do offer free trail downloads of all there products including payroll. I read a lot on various forums where this type of product has a steep learning curve for the end user (the SME) but actually its simple.

My point is dont write it off unless you yourself have tried it

You're right Sage is straight forward to use. Small business owners should take a look at Sage One, the bookkeeping module is only £5 a month and will be suitable for a lot of businesses.
