I have been working out of town for over 1 year and my company pays me a weekly per diem that is taxable. Since the compensation is taxable, will I be able to deduct my actual expenses (hotels, meals, etc.) on my income tax next year?

Yep, as unreimbursed employee expenses on Sched A. However, the deduction is subject to a floor based on your AGI.
