USA Transferring transactions in QB

Our company just switched from MAC QB ver 2013 to MAC QB ver 2014, since data in 2013 ver prior to year 2014 was contaminated we want to transfer only transactions that occurred in 2014 without beginning balances (we will update beg. balances later on). We use cash-basis accounting and we are service company type. I did not work on QB before so I can use any help I can get to do that.

To transfer only transactions that occurred in 2014 you can select Custom Reports>Transaction detail from the Reports menu. After that select the Filters tab and filter accordingly.
