USA Two EINs for same company- how do I merge them?

Hi, I run a company that unfortunately registered two EINs. Our corporate taxes have been going to the old EIN and our employee benefits have been going to the new EIN (through ADP). When I contacted ADP regarding this they said they would have to refile every quarter that this happened which was prohibitively expensive. How do I merge them for both federal taxes and state taxes (NY state) so as to avoid all of the costs of refiling every quarter?

Write a letter to IRS. I had this happen once many years back. Did not have to amend anything. IRS simply sent a letter telling us to stop using one #.
