I just received a letter from the IRS today indicating that I owe them $3,200 for income received in 2008 for a rental property of mine. Apparently my property manager, who I left in charge of the finances, received $20,238 in income from the City of Minneapolis.
Now, I have not seen any of this income, what steps should I take to clear my name with the IRS?
