Donation to a Charity

Hi, I am a part-time bookkeeper working for a small business that details cars. The owner donated a gift certificate for a charity auction, in the amount of $300.00. One of the tech's performed $300 worth of services on her car which he then invoiced and include that as part if his billings so he can get paid for his time. The tech is payed on commission only which is calculated at the end of the month based on a percentage.

What would be the journal entry for this transaction? thanks

Make an entry in the amount of the tech's cost:
Dr donations expense $300
Cr tech commission expense $300
