Hi All,
I am from California and like many others I lost my job due to Covid.
I opened an Etsy online store where they take taxes, but I didn’t do anything else like federal or state, didn’t open an official business. It’s not tons of money but I don’t know what was I supposed to do?

When it comes to the legal definition of "business" there is no difference between a retail store and an online store. Both are considered businesses and are subject to the same rules and regulations under the State laws in which they do business and the Federal laws if applicable.
You need to be more specific. What kind of taxes are you talking about?

I meant that I have a tax person that calculates tax for me the end of the year.
