Accounting Career newbie

My degree was in Business Management. I am now planning to switch over to accounting and trying to figure out the best way. I am strongly considering getting a post-grad accounting certificate to get my foot in the door, then study and take the CMA exam after two years. My question is, will my business degree + certificate = accounting degree? Or am I better off getting a masters in accounting?
