Is Accounting as a career choice worth it?

I have been thinking of switching my job career from a skilled trade to pursuing a career int accounting, anyways, I was wondering if switching to this field is recommended or not? Thank You.

As with any change from one line of work to another, almost all of the decision depends on your personal situation: how long it will take you to obtain the education, how old you are, how much you earn in pay and benefits in your current job vs starting an acctg job at entry level pay, your family situation, and so on.

the skill trades are in such high demand, I wouldn't switch. but if you hate being on your feet and moving around all the time, accounting is a cure for that.
