Hi all,
34 year old male here, looking to break into the accounting field, but not sure about the right 'level' to start at, ie., bookkeeper, accounting technician, etc. I'm thinking accounting technician is the way to go, but I'm not certain. Will I have good options for work if I go this route?

I started my accounting career at the age of 40. Due to my limited maths skills, I found AAT a good starting point. It took me 2 years to achieve my accounting technician level. The qualification helped me get some exemptions in ACCA papers F1-F3. I am now about to complete my ACCA skills level (one subject remaining F9). Online resources may help you decide which route you wanna take.
