Hi All,

I am currently studying AAT Level 2 and got a job offer as a Trainee Accountant. I was told that training lasts 8 week and is paid £500, after completing it the job is guaranteed. Starting pay after the training would be £25,000. My question is if this is normal procedure for the Accounting company to ask for that sort of payment ? I was asked to send the payment before receiving any sort of contract what is a bit worrying to me.

Could any of the more experienced advise please ?

Thank you,
Aleksandra

most likely a scam. I dont know of any reputable company that requires its trainees to pay for training. In the US you are paid for your time training. Maybe Google the name + scam or look them up on Glassdoor?

Yes agree with AGH! Dont hand over your hard earned money especially with no contract involved.
