What could have gone wrong with this tax return?
I helped my friends family with their taxes online, and it has been rejected with this message, 1) Someone else claimed a dependent from your return as a taxpayer or spouse. So, you can't claim that exemption on your return, and 2) for the same dependant it says the social security and name don't match the IRS database, the family tells me noone else is claiming the dependant. does anyone know what website can I find information about this for help? , because calling the IRS at this time is imposible. anything helps

What software are you using to file taxes?

You have found that you cannot file online and your clients tell you that no one else is claiming the dependents. Given that, file a return on paper and send that in. If IRS finds someone else is indeed claiming the dependents IRS has a process to decide how to resolve this.
