Career Path Descriptions and Advice?

Hello,

I am majoring in Accounting and I will be graduating this December with my bachelors degree. I am curious of the different accounting careers paths relating to assurance, tax and audit. Can someone explain to me in depth of the every day tasks of these positions? I've read the general descriptions, but I'd like greater insight. I know that every company may be different, but just describing your own experiences would be helpful too.
