I have a bachelors in accounting, did 3 yrs intern to get accounting license in other country, worked for a start up and then a corporate job. I moved to US without work visa and recently got work permit. I volunteered for a non-profit last year as their treasurer and got QuickBooks experience. Been doing payroll, filed tax return for 501c3 org , did tax course worked for H&R for 2 months before pandemic hit. I have been applying for entry level positions for past 6 months but no answer. Robert half did schedule a video interview but never called back. I got dressed up sat in front of computer, they rescheduled 3 times and then no answer to emails. I am brushing up GAAP , Excel , highly frustrating! I would like to start at any entry level accounting/ finance job, unpaid internship but even before the pandemic it was hard to find it. Any suggestions please?!
stilldoing volunteer work to keep me going, like my skillsdoes matter, but a paying job would be nice
