USA CPA Exam

Hello all,
I am a college student currently majoring in Business with a concentration in Accounting. I am required to take a certain amount of courses, however, I have to take more if I decide to take the CPA exam. Can somebody explain whether or not it is a good idea to take this exam? The information I have found on the internet researching it has not helped me very much.

If you take and pass the CPA exam that's a good thing! Something other folks do not have and distinguishes you from the pack. Will take lots more effort on your part. But what else do you have to do anyway? :)
